Saturday, March 8, 2014 - Youth Dinner

To the Members of District 20,

As part of the Charities committee for District 20 Eastern Star, I am responsible for the Youth Dinner to raise money for the District Charity.

We are planning a Youth Dinner with a little play in between courses called "Who Framed Mickey Mouse?" The cost will be $10.00.

Some of the youth from our three Masonic Groups .... Jobs Daughters, Rainbow Girls and the Demolay have been invited to help serve and take a part in the play.

We will also have some "mystery bags" of which you can purchase for $1.00. We hope that you will give support to our Youth as you know they are the future of the Masonic Order and the Order of the Eastern Star.

We hope to see you on Saturday, March 8 at Carson Lodge at 6:00 p.m.

If you are already "booked up" for that evening, how about a donation.

Please send all money to Cheryl DuPriest 190 Anderson Ferry Rd. Cincinnati, Ohio 45238. Checks may be made out to me.

Thank you ahead of time for your consideration.

Cheryl DuPriest
Youth Charities Chairman

Saturday, June 7, 2014 - Charities Extravaganza

Crowne Plaza North, 6500 Doubletree Avenue, Columbus, OH 43229. More information to follow.

(April 6, 2014) Dear Friends,

As the Charities Director this year, we have been asked to put together a basket to be auctioned at the Charities Extravaganza in June. I am would like to get all the chapters in our district to participate in making a: Summer Fun Day "Basket". I am going to have a cooler that I would like to fill with items that you would use to have a fun day in the sun. I would like each chapter to come up with something fun and interesting to add to the cooler. Just to give you some ideas to run with: Picnic items (reusable plates, cups, utensils.), outdoor games (badminton, balls, ring toss.), folding chairs, bug repellant, sun screen. I hope that you will use your imagination to find something fun to represent our district.

I realize that time is short; however I really need to have your chapter's donation by April 24th (Ida's Inspection). I am supposed to turn in our basket on April 26th at the WGM and WGP Reception, and I will need a day to put everything together. I will be attending Cardinal's Country Breakfast on Saturday April 12th, if you have your items ready early and would like to bring them to me there.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or to let me know what you might be adding to the cooler. Thank you, in advance, for helping me with this project!

Star Love,

Rachel Schroer
