| The Installation of Worthy Matron, Sister Margaret Hamilton and Worthy Patron Brother Richard Hamilton for the 2009/2010 term
took place on 8 August 2009 at St Peter’s Church Hall. It was a lovely installation service and meeting followed by a banquet with the hall and
tables decorated beautifully by Sister Rita Clelland. |
| Sister Hamilton has chosen the Macular Degeneration Foundation to support in this term of office. |
| As well as donating to our Worthy Matron’s charity, our Chapter has donated $1,000 to the Toodyay Bushfire Appeal. We held a sausage sizzle (with Perth Chapter members) and all profits went to that cause. Perth Chapter also donated $1,000 at the same time. |
| We have had a busy year so far with sausage sizzles, lunches and various outings. A very successful day was our Christmas lunch at the Burswood Casino where the usual Christmas fare was exceptional. A little flutter by some of the members at the end of the meal in the Casino didn’t give anyone a huge win but it was greatly enjoyed by all – in all a lovely day out with good friends, our own sisters and brothers. |
