SMALL TOWN TEXAS MEETINGS

A small town Texas Masonic Lodge meeting is
where 12 members and 3 visitors are present,
and at least 6 or 8 of those 15 will probably
be past masters.

Small town Texas Lodges count their members
by 10's, while the large city Texas Lodges count
their members by the 100's

Hempstead and Waller
Masonic Lodge Fundraisers
Hempstead and Waller Lodges join together in the fall to hold two major fundraisers.

One is the Bull Riding Show where the show and the food sales are completely sponsored and operated by the two Lodges.

The other is a two day Civil War Reenactment sponsored and operated by the owner of the old Liendo Plantation near Hempstead where the two Lodges operate the food sales.

Hempstead Lodge Newsletter Archives
Although only a couple of years old, the Hempstead Masonic Lodge #749 AF & AM Newsletter Archives has some columns worth reading. You will become aquanted with "Small Town Texas Masonry". Our Lodges are small enough that the Lodges as well as the Brothers interact with each other. It's where many Brothers hold duel memberships. It's where other then the meeting itself, Masonry is a family affair.
