We have several Entered Apprentices out working on their lectures and we hope to announce several new degrees here very soon as these brethren continue in their Masonic journeys.  Keep checking back often for future degree announcements!!

Annual Bethpage Christmas Parade - December 22, 2007 - Due to the late time of this year's parade, the brethren decided to not have an entry in this years parade and instead spend that time with our families.  We hope that we can have an entry again in 2008.

Annual Pancake Breakfast - Saturday, February 2, 2008 - This year's pancake breakfast was a fundraiser for a different reason.  Normally the proceeds from our breakfast go to fund a scholarship for a local graduating student.  This year, we had a brother who needs help.  Bro. Billy Burroughs' wife, Betty, has been battling illness for most of last year and is currently hospitalized following major surgery.  She is in the University of Maryland Medical Center and Bro. Billy is staying with her.  All proceeds from this year's breakfast will go the Burroughs family to help with expenses.  With the phenomenal turnout we had, from the breakfast fundraiser and the many numerous donations that poured in, we were able to provide the Burroughs family with more than $12,000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!    A TREMENDOUS thank you to everyone who helped that morning and all who donated items, money, or who bought a ticket.

Installation of Officers - December 20, 2007 - The installation of officers was conducted by Brother Robert Smith.  Bro. Smith is a member of Bethpage Lodge and Past Master of Fairfield Lodge.

School of Instruction - January 31, 2008 - Bethpage Lodge was visited by Bro. Odie Gregory, Grand Lecturer for District 12 for the purpose of a School of Instruction on January 31, 2008.  A wonderful evening of Masonic instruction was had by all as we had about 30 Masons in attendance and 11 different lodges represented.  Thanks to all who came out and joined us for this event.

Official Visit - Brother Odie Gregory, Grand Lecturer for District 12 visited Bethpage Lodge #521 on Tuesday, September 25, 2007 for the purpose of our Official Visit. We had a wonderful turnout with many visitors present and much fellowship and good instruction were enjoyed by all.

Family Night - Saturday, September 22 was our Family Night for 2007 and was well attended.  We had many of our brethren and their families in attendance and were also very happy to have many of our Masonic widows with us as well.  Everyone enjoyed themselves with plenty of food and fellowship and all enjoyed the entertainment provided by the beautiful gospel singing of the Happy Hearts.  We thank one and all for coming and being with us and are already looking forward to Family Night 2008.

Masonic Scholarship - On May 17, 2007 we awarded our scholarship to this year's recipient, John McFarland.  John is graduating from Westmoreland High School and will receive a $500 scholarship from Bethpage Masonic Lodge to assist with his future education plans.  Congratulations, John!!!!

It is with great sadness that we have to announce the passing of Brother Joe Miller Womack on October 17, 2006.  He was serving our lodge as Senior Deacon at the time of his passing and will be sadly missed by everyone associated with our lodge. 

It is with great sadness that we have to announce the passing of Brother Morgan Marks on October 22, 2006.  Brother Marks had been unable to come to lodge for quite some time but will be missed by each and every brother.

It is with great sadness that we have to announce the passing of Brother Harlen Glenn Savely on March 21, 2007.  He was serving as Junior Deacon at the time of his passing and will be very sadly missed by everyone associated with our lodge.

It is with great sadness that we have to announce the passing of Brother Raymond Eugene "Buck" Adcock on July 11, 2007.  Brother Adcock had been unable to come to lodge for quite some time due to health related issues but will be very sadly missed by everyone associated with our lodge.

It is with great sadness that we have to announce the passing of Brother Earl Dean Bradley on October 20, 2007.  Brother Bradley will be missed by each and every member of Bethpage Lodge.
