The Order of the Eastern Star is the largest fraternal organization in the world to which men and women belong, made up of about a million members in the United States and 18 foreign countries. Women hold the chief officers such as Worthy Matron ( like Worshipful Master), Associate Matron (like Sr. Warden), etc..  Men officers are mainly of a support nature such as Worthy Patron, Associate Patron, etc.  The major philanthropy that all Chapters support is called ESTARL (Eastern Star Training for Religious Leadership) which is a scholarship program for students studying for some religious field.
