Lodge St Vincent Sandyford after
a reigning Masters’ Degree cheques
were presented to the Prince and
Princess of Wales Hospice and
Momentum.
- I attended a Special Meeting of
Lodge Greenock Kilwinning No XII
to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of
Her Majesty the Queen on 7th
June 2012.
- I chaired a
Regular Communication of the
province on Tuesday 12th
June 2012 and presented cheques to
The Lord Provost’s Fund for Children
and East Park.
- On 14th June 2012 I
attended the Regular Communication
of Grand Lodge.
- I attended the Regular
Communication of the
Province of Ayrshire on 27th
June 2012 in Muirkirk.
- I attended the Regular Meeting
of
Lodge Salfire No 1505 on 28th
June 2012 and witnessed an excellent
Mark Ceremony.
- On Saturday 30th June
2012 I attended the Installation of
Brother Rev Andrew Paterson as
Provincial Grand Master of Fife and
Kinross in Cupar along with the
Depute Provincial Grand Master and
Brother Andrew Mushet who was in the
Grand Lodge Deputation.

- On Wednesday 2nd May 2012 I
attended
Lodge Anima No 1223 along with a
Deputation. A number of Canadian
Brethren were present.
- I chaired the
Annual Commissioned Office-Bearers
Dinner on Thursday 3rd
May 2012.
- Along with SPGMs Brothers John
C. McLean, James McMillan and James
C. Peddie and Alan Taylor JPGW, I
attended the
Annual Installation of
Office-Bearers Meeting of the
Province of Lanarkshire Upper Ward
in Carluke on Friday 4th
May 2012.
- I headed a Deputation to
Lodge Neptune No 419 on Saturday
5th May 2012 and carried
out a Ceremony of Rededication to
commemorate the Lodge’s 150th
Anniversary. The Provincial Grand
Master of Ayrshire Bro. Archie
Chalmers was also present.The
Meeting was followed by a Civic
Reception in the City Chambers.
- I attended a Meeting of
Provincial Grand Masters on 12th
may 2012 held in Perth which was
chaired by the Depute Grand Master.
- On Monday 14th May
2012 along with my wife Anne,
Brothers Peter Morrison, Douglas
Stewart, and Brian McNair, I
attended a Reception and
Beating the Retreat held by
SAFFA at the Kibble Palace and
presented a cheque for £1500 to
SAFFA.
- I attended a Regular Meeting of
Lodge Oatlands No 1005 on
Wednesday 15th May 2012
and presented a Jubilee Certificate
to Brother Alexander Elder Macadie
PM 1005.
- On Thursday 17th May
2012 I attended the Regular Meeting
of
Lodge Springburn No 1198 along
with a Deputation – the Provincial
Grand Masters of Fife and Kinross
and Renfrewshire West were also
present. I was awarded Honorary
Membership of the Lodge.
- I was present at the 2nd
Education Dinner of the Province of
Renfrewshire East on Friday 18th
May 2012 in Johnstone. The Principal
Speaker was the Grand Master of
Ireland, Brother George Dunlop. The
Grand Master Mason was also present.
- On Sunday 20th May
2012 along with a large Deputation
which included the Provincial Grand
Masters of Kilwinning and
Renfrewshire East I attended the
Annual Divine Service of Lodge
Montefiore No 753.
- I attended
Lodge
Glasgow Abercrombie No 1430 on
Monday 21st May 2012 at
which Meeting the Travelling
Brethren of Edinburgh carried out
the Mark Ceremony.
- I carried out the Annual
Visitation to Lodge Ruchill No 1436
on Tuesday 22nd May 2012.
- I paid an Informal Visit to
Lodge Cadder Freestone No 1584 on 23rd
May 2012 and witnessed an excellent
First Degree carried out by the
Wardens of various Lodges.
- On Friday 25th 2012
the Dinner for the Commissioned
Office-Bearers and Wives was held in
the Glynhill Hotel.
- I was present at the
5K Sponsored Walk in Pollok
Country Park on Sunday 27th
May 2012 in support of Erskine.
- On Monday 28th May
2012, along with my wife, Anne, I
attended the
Opening of the Scottish Centre for
Regenerative Medicine at
Edinburgh University by HRH The
Princess Royal. We had the honour of
being presented to Her Royal
Highness..
- I attended a Lunch for Senior
Pupils of Bishopbriggs Academy on
Wednesday 30th May 2012
at Lodge Cadder Freestone No 1584 at
which they were presented with
Certificates and Cheques by the
Lodge. Thereafter I accompanied
several Brethren to
Stobhill Hospital. A cheque was
presented to the Kidney Dialysis
Unit – these funds were in the main
raised by Brothers Campbell Weir
PM1584 and John Cooper MM1584.
- On
Thursday 31st May 2012 I
attended a Meeting of Lodge Biggar
Free Operative No 167 where a
Presentation was given by Brothers
Charles Winston, Bob Cooper and
Trevor Stewart on the work carried
out by them in respect of the
Lodge’s archives and artefacts under
the auspices of the SMMG.

Annual Divine Service of the Province of
Renfrewshire East in Rutherglen West
Church.
- I attended the Regular Meeting of
Lodge Montefiore No 753 on Monday 2nd
April 2012 along with a Deputation and
witnessed an excellent Mark Ceremony.
- On Tuesday 3rd April 2012
I carried out the Annual Visitation to
The Union and Crown Lodge Glasgow No
103.
- I chaired a Meeting of the
Fundraising Committee on Wednesday 4th
April 2012.
- I attended the Meeting of the
Information and Communications Committee
on Tuesday 10th April 2012.
- On Wednesday 11th April
2012 I attended along with a Deputation
the Regular Meeting of
Lodge Kenmuir, Springburn No 570 and
witnessed an excellent Fellowcraft
Degree conferred by Lodge St John
Kilwinning, Largs No 173. The Provincial
Grand Master of Ayrshire accompanied the
Deputation.
- I attended the Regular Meeting of
Lodge
Galen, Glasgow No 1285 along with a
Deputation on Thursday 12th
April 2012 at which Meeting Brother
William C. Shepherdson delivered a very
interesting Paper on Masonic
Publications.
- On Friday 13th April 2012
I attended the Regular Meeting of my
Mother Lodge.
- On Monday 16th April 2012
accompanied by a large Deputation I
carried out a Ceremony of Rededication
to mark the 50th Anniversary
of Lodge Easterhouse No 1591.
- I attended the Annual Dinner of the
Past Senior Provincial Grand Wardens
on Wednesday 18th April 2012.
- On Thursday 19th April
2012 I attended the Regular Meeting of
Lodge Buchanan No 1419 in Balfron and
was invited to join the Deputation from
the Province of Stirlingshire headed by
their Provincial Grand Master.
- Along with Brothers Dr Trevor
Stewart and Charles Winston on the
morning of Friday 20th April
2012 I visited Lodge Biggar Free
Operative No 167 as part of the ongoing
work of the SMMG and met with a
representative of the regional Archives
of South Lanarkshire Council.
- I visited Brother John H G Paton PM
1329 in the Mansion house Unit on
Tuesday 24th April 2012.
- On Thursday 26th April
2012 I attended a Meeting of Grand
Committee.
- I headed a Deputation to my Mother

6042(EC) exemplified the Fellowcraft
Degree.
- I delivered a Talk at the Inter
Faith Museum, St Mungo Museum, Glasgow
about Freemasonry on Sunday 29th
April 2012; in the evening along with a
Deputation I attended the Annual Divine
Service of the Province of Lanarkshire
Middle Ward in Uddingston.
- I attended a General Committee
Meeting of my Mother Lodge on Monday 30th
April 2012.

- On 2nd March 2012 along

attended the Annual Communication of the
Provincial Grand Lodge of
Lanarkshire Middle Ward in
Cambuslang.
- I attended the
Annual Meeting of the Thistle Lodges
which was held in Lodge Thistle No 87
accompanied by several Office-Bearers on
Saturday 3rd March 2012.
- Along with a large Deputation I
attended the
Annual Divine Service of the Provincial
Grand Lodge of Stirlingshire in
Bannockburn on Sunday 4th
March 2012.
- Along with the Master of my Mother
Lodge I attended the Regular Meeting of
Lodge Oban Commercial No 180 on
Thursday 8th March 2012 at
which a 50 Year Diploma was presented to
Brother Robert McDonald PM 180.
- On Sunday 11th March 2012
accompanied by a Deputation of
Commissioned Office-Bearers, Elected
Office-Bearers and Stewards I attended
the Annual
Divine Service of Lodge Cadder Freestone
No 1584.
- After chairing a Fundraising
Committee Meeting on Monday 12th
March 2012 I carried out the annual
Visitation to Lodge Easterhouse No 1591.
- I was present at the Final of the
John Adam Whist
Competition on 15th March

Lodge St Clair No 362 on which occasion I
was presented with a cheque for £200 for our
2012 Appeal.
- I attended the Regular Communication of
Grand Lodge on Thursday 2nd
February 2012 and the Meeting of Grand
Committee earlier on the same day.
- On Friday 3rd February 2012 I
attended the Annual Communication of the
Province of Renfrewshire West in Greenock
- I attended the Installation of Brother
Ewan Rutherford as
Provincial Grand Master
of Edinburgh on Saturday 4th
February 2012 and proposed the Toast to the
Province at the Installation Dinner.
- I attended the Annual Burns Supper of
Lodge Bearsden No 1572 on Monday 6th
February 2012.
- I carried out the Annual Visitation to
Lodge Clydesdale No 556 on Wednesday 8th
February 2012.
- I attended the Regular Meeting of my
Lodge on Friday 10th February
2012 and the Burns Supper which followed.
- I attended the
Retiral Dinner hosted by
the Western District Lodges Association in
appreciation of the service given by Brother
Rev. William B. Ferguson, MM No 16 to these
Lodges.
- I chaired a Meeting of the Fundraising
Committee on 12th February 2012.

- I attended a Meeting of the Information
and Communications Committee in Edinburgh on

the PGL Surgery thereafter.

Brother Gavin Sorbie Jnr, PM 570 and PG
Steward.
- I carried out the Annual Visitation to
Lodge Greyfriars No 1221 on Thursday 16th
February 2012.

I attended a meeting of Glasgow Sovereign
Chapter No 11.
- On Tuesday 21st February 2012
along with a large Deputation of

Office-Bearers I attended the Half Yearly
Communication of the
Provincial Grand Lodge
of Kilwinning.
- I attended the Regular Meeting of Lodge
St George, Glasgow No 333 on Wednesday 22nd
February 2012 at which Meeting Lodge Athole
No 413 exemplified the 2nd
Degree.
- On Friday 24th February 2012
along with Brothers James McMillan,
Substitute Provincial Grand Master and Allan
Taylor, Junior Provincial Grand Warden, I
attended the Annual Communication of the
Provincial Grand Lodge of Dumfriesshire in
Dumfries.

Annual
Communication of the Province of
Stirlingshire in Alva on Saturday 25th
February 2012. On that same evening along
with my wife Anne and Brother Andrew Mushet,
Substitute Provincial Grand Master and his
wife Mags, I attended a Social Evening in
Lodge Cadder Freestone No 1584 to mark the
50th Anniversary of the Lodge.
- I was present at the East District Round
of the John Adam Whist Competition on Monday
27th February 2012.
- Along with my wife Anne I visited
Brother Robert R. Best PPGM in the Royal
Infirmary on Tuesday 28th
February 2012.
- I attended the February Meeting of the
Zodiac Circle on Wednesday 29th
February 2012.
- On 10th January 2012 I met
with Brothers Warnock and Riddell regarding
Visitation procedures.
- Along with my wife Anne, Brothers
Mackintosh and McMillan, I attended the
Glasgow North Support Group Meeting
Parkinsons on 11th January 2012
at which meeting Dr Tilo Kunath Research
Project Director Edinburgh University gave a
presentation and thanked the Province for
their very generous donation.
- I was present at the Regular Meeting of
Lodge Dramatic No 571 on Thursday 12th
January 2012 on which occasion the Third
Degree was conferred on Brother Andrew
Walker son of the Junior Warden Brother
Andrew Walker PM 571.
- On 13th January 2012 I
attended my own Mother Lodge.
- I met with Brethren who had agreed to
assist with the inspection of Lodge Books
and later chaired a meeting of Commissioned
Office-Bearers on 17th January
