Although I have only one, living family member (beside Barbara) who is an Eastern Star, I have several Masons in my family.  My Uncle Carl was a 70+ year Mason in Indianapolis and served as head of his Shrine unit for over 35 years.  His widow is still living and an active Eastern Star, as he was prior to his death.  My Uncle Fred will received his 50 year pin in 2011.  My father-in-law (deceased) was a 35+ year member and my mother-in-law (deceased) and he served in Eastern Star for many years.  Barbara joined Eastern Star before I did and we felt this was the path we wanted to travel together.

I was raised to Master Mason in Hiram Lodge #18 in 1998 and served as Worshipful Master in 2003, followed by 5 years as Trustee (serving as Chair the 5th year).  I served the 14th Masonic District as District Deputy Grand Master from 2005 through 2007 and am currently serving as District Treasurer.  I am the President of the Past Masters of Hiram Lodge and Vice President of the Past District Deputy Grand Masters of the 14th Masonic District.  I will serve on the Credentials Committee at Grand Lodge this year.  Am past Secretary/Treasurer of the Delaware County Scottish Rite and a member of R.A.M., R&SM, Commandery and AASR, Valley of Columbus.

I am a life time member of Asbury United Methodist Church (my father was baptized there in 1915 and me in 1943) and have served on numerous committees over the years.  I am currently serving on the Audit Committee.  Barbara and I were married there in 1970.
