Three Oversight Committees of Fellowship (Brotherly Love), Charity (Relief), and Education (Truth) provide support for underlying committees. (03/28/10)
Fellowship – Kyle Friedrich (Job’s), Tracy Newman (OES) Needs a Chair. Provide some pure recreational/family events: card parties, movies, etc.
Membership – Shawn Mortenson (Chair) Recruitment, Masonic B-Day Cards, Awards Night, Visit-a-Brother, Xmas Baskets.
Mentorship – Dan Starks (Chair) Need a PM to make yearly reports about our Mentorship Program to the Grand Lodge.
Leadership – Bob Darling (Chair, Grand Lodge), Shawn Mortenson (LRP) - Leadership, Lodge Recognition Program, Grand Lodge, District Meetings
Charity – Chris Zalomsky (NASP, Ditches, Bears), Shawn Mortenson (ROH, KidsID, RiteCare), Dallas O’Dell (Storytime with Santa) Need a Chair. Many new ideas are out there.
Scholarship – Tracy Newman (Chair), Shawn Mortenson, Ed Wern. Other gov’t or private matching possibilities might exist.
Fundraising – Kyle Friedrich (Chair, Spaghetti Dinner), Al Johnson (Brats), Shawn Mortenson (Bagging, Applebee’s). Other ideas: partnerships with Target, Wal-Mart, etc.Finance – Tracy Newman (Chair), Ed Wern, Chris Zalomsky, Dan Starks - Yearly budgets, and develop a long term financial plan.
Building – Al Johnson (Chair), Joel Peterson, Andy Brown - Assess all maintenance, upgrades, and the future of our largest asset.
Education – Butch Aschnewitz (Chair), Dan Starks - Oversee the basic Masonic education of our lodge: Speakers, Library, Research, Papers.
Bylaws – Kyle Friedrich (Chair), Chris Zalomsky, Tracy Newman, Shawn Mortenson - Update bylaws, like Dues and Officer’s Vote, to reflect current practices.
Communication – Dallas O'Dell, Joel Peterson, Shawn Mortenson , Dan Starks (Newsletter, Google Group). Need a Chair. Other ideas: International/Sister Lodge.
Ritual – Tracy Newman (Chair), Shawn Mortenson - Degree Work, Memory Coaches, School of Instructions, Lodge Certification Program.
Memorial – Shawn Mortenson (Chair), Chris Zalomsky (Plaques) - Lodge Historical Archives, Widow’s Brunch, Funeral Rites, and PM Plaques.
