Masonic Information - Dress for Brethren

EVENING MEETINGS

The Correct Dress is:
Black Dinner Suit with white dinner shirt, black bow tie, black buttons or studs, black shoes and black socks. White gloves may be work with Dinner Suit.

Alternative Dress:
During hot weather Brethren may. at the discretion of the Worshipful Master, wear plain white long-sleeved business shirt, black bow tie, black truosers, black shoes and black socks. Coats, waistcoats and braces must be removed before entering the Lodge Room.

Special Circumstances:
When a Brother finds it impossible to wear a Dinner Suit or Evening Dress at a particular meeting, he should wear the prescribed dress for a Day or Twilight Meeting.

DAY AND TWILIGHT MEETINGS

The Correct Dress is:
Dark Lounge or Business Suit, plain white long-sleeved business shirt, dark knotted tie, black shoes and black socks.

At Day Meetings it is permissible for Brethren to wear a dark blue or black blazer without badge and dark grey trousers in lieu of a dark lounge or business suit.

Alternative Dress:
During hot weather Brethren may, at the discretion of the Worshipful Master, wear plain white long-sleeved business shirt, dark knotted tie, dark truosers, black shoes and black socks.

Special Circumstances:
     Shorts, coloured shirts, and short-sleeved attire are not permitted.
 
     Twilight Meetings must commence latest by 6:00pm otherwise
     the dress shall be as for an Evening Meeting
