Happy Valentine's Day everyone - albeit a little early!
RECENT EVENTS.....
Recently, the Bethel has been actively rehearsing for the Ritual
Competition on February 23. The girls are doing wonderfully!! At
yesterday's rehearsal we did a lot of polishing up - please have your parts
perfect for Sunday!
ON TAP FOR THIS WEEK.......
- Tonight is the Line Officers' Meeting and Council meeting at 7:30
p.m., in the home of Ed and Emily Groner. Please plan to attend. The
meeting will be brief.
- This Saturday is the Sweetheart Ball. The dance will be held on the
property of the Kena Temple, from 8 p.m. until midnight. Chaperones and
drivers will be needed for this activity! Dress is formal (appropriate
clothes and shoes are required.)
- Our meeting is held on February 17. There will be a rehearsal with
Mom Ann at 4 p.m. Remember, we are initiating Margaret into our Bethel.
Kasey has agreed to do the part of First Messenger and Danielle will be
doing the part of Second Messenger. Please know your parts so that her
initiation will be beautiful and lasting. The meeting will begin at 6 p.m.
Directly after the close of the meeting, those participating in ritual
competition will have a dress rehearsal. We will teach you how to walk into
the Bethel room, and we will also have you go through you parts.
- After the meeting, the Bethel will be heading to the Groner's house
for a slumber party. Don't forget to bring your valentine's supplies, if
you have any. You'll be making cards, signs, cookies and such for the John
Blair Lodge meeting on the 20th.
- On Monday, the 18th, there will be a ritual competition rehearsal
for everyone at 1 p.m. If you need rides, please call one of the council
members.
COMING SOON......
- February 20th - arrive at 5:30 to set up for the John Blair Lodge
spaghetti dinner. Youth Night to follow. Punch and cookies with the lodge
after the meeting.
- February 23rd, in the morning, is the ritual competition.
Registration begins at 9 a.m. at the Sharon Masonic Temple in McLean, VA.
- 3:30 p.m., February 23rd - arrive for the George Washington Birthday
Dinner. **Major Fundraiser**
SPRING SPIRIT AWARD UPDATE.....
- At the end of the last term, the Bethel decided to try for the
Spirit Award again this Spring. Already the Bethel has earned 345 points
out of 1,000 for the award!!! Good job ladies!!
