Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto VA-236 W/DUKE ST. Take the RT-241 S ramp towards I-95/CAPITAL BELTWAY. Stay straight to go onto TELEGRAPH RD/VA-241 S. Take the I-95 S/I-495 W ramp towards RICHMOND. Merge onto I-495 W. Take the I-66 W exit- exit number 49C- on the left towards VIENNA/FRONT ROYAL. Merge onto I-66 W. Take the VA-123 exit- exit number 60- towards FAIRFAX/VIENNA. Keep LEFT at the fork in the ramp. Stay straight to go onto CHAIN BRIDGE RD/VA-123. Turn RIGHT onto CHAIN BRIDGE RD. Turn LEFT onto OAK PL. Total Estimated Time: 29 minutes Total Distance: 20.19 miles RECENT EVENTS . . . . . On Saturday night the Bethel had their semi-annual Grand Visitation at the GW Memorial. Our ladies did an excellent job - and should be proud of their performance. That evening Dad Mertz was serving a dinner for AW Lodge in the Memorial. The girls, without being asked, chipped in to help Dad Mertz set up the tables and prepare for the dinner (Dad Mertz was working by himself.) Ladies, your council is really proud of the way you helped out Dad Mertz. It was a selfless act and one that was not asked of you. I know Dad Mertz really appreciated your help and he thanks you. On Sunday Danielle, Stacey, Dad James and Mom Melanie headed out to the corn maze in The Plains. The average time to get out of this 6 acre maze is an hour (or more.) We are proud to say that we found out way out of the maze in 55 minutes. After the maze we picked pumpkins, took a hayride and then came home to watch a movie. Look for pictures of the corn maze to appear on the website soon! ON TAP FOR THIS WEEK . . . . Tonight is the Council Meeting at Ed and Emily Groner's house. THERE WILL NOT BE A LINE OFFICERS MEETING TONIGHT - IT IS POSTPONED UNTIL NOVEMBER 3. Meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. This Saturday is the Halloween Party! Set up begins at noon at the Henry Lodge. Come dressed to work - but bring your costume with you! Also, bring money for food - you'll work up an appetite! You will be emailed Monday and/or Tuesday with what you are to provide for the refreshments. Even if you are not planning to attend, you must still help provide refreshments - all you need to do is get them to someone who is going!! The party itself will begin at 7 p.m. The cost is: $4 if you are a Masonic youth or adult (not in costume), $3 if you are in costume and $2 if you are a prospect (DeMolay, Rainbow or Jobies!) There will be a costume contest and some other fun activities!! After the party, get ready for a slumber party at the Hampton's house. Be sure to bring money for breakfast the next morning. Oct. 30 - Heroes of '76 dinner at Collingwood (serve) Nov. 3 - Regular Bethel Meeting/Line Officers Meeting (immediately following) Nov. 9 - Haunted Ghost Walk of Old Towne Alexandria (7:30 p.m.), slumber party to follow Nov. ?? - Visits to Bethels 1, 52 and 55 Nov. 23 - Help the Homeless Walkathon, Washington D.C. Nov. 30 - Pageant in Williamsburg Dec. 1 - Supreme Visitation, Williamsburg PAGEANT . . . . If you are interested in going to Pageant this year - email me ASAP. Pageant is $5 for a ticket (which you must purchase) and $16.25 for a hotel room (if 4 are to a room). You will need additional money for food while we are in Williamsburg. All money is due on November 3. If I do not have your money on Nov. 3 - you will not be attending. We will need chaperones and drivers for this event. IN TUNE WITH 22 . . . .
