  Dear Brothers:
Once again, I wanted to thank all of you for this opportunity to serve my Lodge as Worshipful Master for this year of 2005.  You may rest assured that the brothers you have elected as your officers will be suited to the charges their individual positions demand.

As each of you understand, having a common goal, a goal in which we all participate together, is fundamental for the progress and the consolidation of our Lodge.  I assume that we have the same goals for our Lodge: the prevalence of brotherly love, the drive for excellence in our ritualistic work, or the achievement of knowledge which will enable us to leave behind our blindness and see the light which springs from the East.

All of these different goals are intended to bring us together, as One.  If we dedicate ourselves to the accomplishment of these goals, everything useless will be forgotten, forgiven, and left behind.  Our Lodge will become stronger and will move one step forward toward the Ideal of Freemasonry.

So, my brothers, let’s embrace this noble task.  Let’s reach out to our working tools.  Let’s not forget that our individual ashlars might still have some corners or sides with roughness.  Let’s apply individually to the eternal task of squaring ourselves to see if we are at level in all dimensions with the Masonic Principles.

Fraternally,
Jean-Paul Fabre
Worshipful Master
