Our May meeting was election of Officers for 2001 - 2002 and we were able to fill all Officers with the exception of sentinel. Our Worthy Matron Sis Elizabeth Read has worked very hard the past year and has raised enough money so the Chapter can purchase a recliner chair to be presented to the cancer section of The Prince Charles Hospital here in Brisbane.
At first the Chapter was going to buy a Wheel Chair but on a visit to the chemotherapy ward and after talking to the staff and learning they were short of recliner chair's we fulfilled there wish the chair will be delved about the end of  May and a small group of Chapter Members along with The Worthy Matron and Patron will officially present it.
It is with sadness we report the passing of Sis Leila Pukallus to the higher chapter above Sis Pukallus was our pianist for many years.
At our May meeting The Worthy Matron had the Mothers Day Service and Sis Sybil Hirn our grand Chapter Representive was invited to be Mother, The service was very sincerely carried out by all officers. Sis Hien was delighted and said it was her first time ever as a chapter mother she was so happy it brought tears to her eyes with joy.
Monday 14th May was our inventory day at the hall we had a great roll up and the job was completed very quickly after which we all went to Sam's fish and chips at  Suttons beach. The worthy Matron had us all tell the story of how we met our spouses and some funny incidents about our courtship it really was a delightful time Oh and the fish and chips were good. Hope to do this again for our Christmas get together Sam's is right on the water at Suttons Beach and plenty of parking.
