Wilmette Park Lodge No. 931

The month of December is generally filled with joy and a holiday spirit, unfortunately for Wilmette Park Lodge 931 it was also the month we had to say farewell to several Brothers, one of whom in his mid twenties had been fighting leukemia for the past year and a half and until recently was doing fairly well, but an infection passed him to the Supreme Architect.

January 2014 first brought us snow then cold, but the first Meeting of the year on January 2nd, was warm, not only because of a well working heating system in our century old Lodge building but mainly because of our warm hearted Brethren.

At the special Meeting in January we initiated four new Entered Aprentices !

Brother Junior Warden, one of our Educational Officers, will give a presentation on “improving cognition through Masonic Practice’ at our Stated Meeting in February.

We are proud for the second year in a row to sponsor Niles West High School at the Academic Bowl which will take place on February 15th.

How Masonry in Context creates Value in Our Lives

Modern life can be quite challenging. Today’s man must deal with a rapidly changing world and a constant bombardment of information.
The ability to process and manage this situation is critical to making good life choices.
Masonry provides us with spiritual tools we use to improve our minds.
The Lodge provides us a place where we can explore our spiritual nature without fear of condemnation.
Masonic tools used in a fraternal environment can expand our ability to perceive truth. Free thought, guided by eternal principals and enabled by spiritual tools is a powerful force in the life of a man.
Masonry provides us the ability to use our tools for the benefit of our community.
A trained Masonic Mind perceives the best use of our time and resources. With our minds guided by our tenants and our actions governed pierced by our cardinal virtues, we will produce results that will please The Great Architect of the Universe.
Our unique selling proposition offers young men the opportunity to improve their lives and spirits in a free environment. The fog of confusion that veils modern life is penetrated by the light of the trained Masonic mind.
Only Masonry can teach a man how to be a Mason.

As usual our events will be announced on our website, Temple Topics, Facebook page, by postal mail and or email.
