Welcome to the website of Lodge Temperance, number 2557 on the role of the United Grand Lodge of England, (UGLE). Lodge Temperance meets in the Fern Avenue Masonic Centre, Jesmond, Newcastle upon Tyne, England on the 4th Friday of the month, save for December, July and August. Our Installation is in November.
We are a relatively small lodge but we are big in heart and provide a warm welcome to all visitors. We do depend a lot on our visitors so if you are in Newcastle upon Tyne please do try to come along and enjoy an evening with us.
The aim of this site is to give you some information about the Lodge in particular and about Freemasonry in general. Should you be a non-mason who is interested in joining then email me (see below) and we will take things further.
Should you wish to contact us then please do so via the envelope below.
The page about our area i.e. Northumbria, gives information on some of the less well known attractions in the Counties of Durham and Northumberland. Find out about the Wild Cattle or the Smallpipes of Northumbria. Why does Co. Durham have a Greek Temple on a hilltop and what was Causey Arch a first in? Visit the Northumbria page to find out.
We have a short update about the Chillingham Cattle which some might be interested in (12/02)
Thank you for visiting our site and we hope you will come back at some time in the future.
