What are you doing?

Every  year during the month of September the Freemasons provide a Constitutional Observance program with events that support The Declaration of Independence, The Constitution  and The Bill of Rights. The purpose of these programs is to make citizens aware of their privilege to live in the United States and of the ultimate price that our forefathers paid for our freedom. This year we are organizing  a historic reenactment of the events leading up to our Revolutionary War starting off with the "Boston Tea Party".   The Freemasons will gather with members of the community and youth groups at the Aloha Tower Market Place.  The Freemasons will then march over to  the wharf where an old three mast ship "Falls of Clyde" from the era is moored to the pier.  We will board with our leaders dressed as patriots such as John Hancock, Samuel Adams, Paul Revere etc. with the battle cry of "No Taxation without representation!"  We will then proceed to throw tea (dried seaweed) into the harbor.  After the Tea Party, an actor will portray Ben Franklin and will discuss the Constitution  and Patrick Henry who will discuss the importance of the Bill of Rights.  There will be media present.  Refreshments and materials will be donated by local businesses and sponsors.   Many people will dress up in the clothes of the era.   Not only will it  perpetuate the memory of the men who, by their services or sacrifices during the war of the American Revolution, achieved the independence of the American people, it will be a lot of fun as well!

If you would like to make a monetary donation to the "Boston Tea Party",
