TREASURER'S DESK

W. Bro. Joe Vasquez, PM

Brethren,

It is indeed an honor and a privilege to serve Sinclair Lodge #154 as Treasurer for yet another year.  I pledge to keep the lodge abreast of its financial state and work with our Secretary to ensure that all of our obligations, fraternal and otherwise, are met in a timely and professional manner.  If you have any questions concerning the lodge's finances, please feel free to contact me at any time and I will be happy to assist you.

I am a third generation Mason on my father's side of the family and come from a long line of Masons on my mother's side of the family.  I was initiated as an Entered Apprentice on June 9, 1988, passed to the degree of a Fellow Craft on July 13, 1988, and raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason on August 13, 1988, all in Winter Garden Lodge # 165, Winter Garden, Florida.  Before returning to college I returned my Master Mason proficiency.

After graduation from The Citadel in 1989, I affiliated with Strict Observance Lodge #73 (now Mariner's #2) in Charleston, South Carolina.  I began my journey through the chairs as a Steward at Strict Observance, but had to resign my seat as I was accepted at the University of South Carolina School of Law in Columbia, South Carolina in 1990.  After graduation from USC in 1993, I accepted a position in the law offices of Setzler, Chewning & Scott, P.A. (now Setzler & Scott, P.A.) in West Columbia, South Carolina, and am a partner in the firm.

In 1994, I affiliated with Sinclair Lodge #154 in West Columbia, South Carolina.  In 1998, I was elected and served as Junior Warden.  In 1999, I was elected as served as Senior Warden.  In 2000, I was elected, installed, and served as Worshipful Master.  After a very brief three year period of serving as the lodge as a Past Master on various committees, I was elected Treasurer of the lodge in 2004.

Again, it is and honor and privilege to serve Sinclair Lodge as Treasurer, and if can be of service to you in any way in our fraternity, please do not hesitate to call.

Sincerely and Fraternally,

Joseph A. (Joe) Vasquez, PM
