Brother James Buchanan has safely returned home from his tour of duty overseas. We are so glad that he has came back to us safe and sound, and we also are so very proud of his service to his Country. We will continue to hope and pray that before long his fellow servicemen and servicewomen will soon be returning home as well.

Bro. James Buchanan received his EA° at St. George Lodge in the fall of 2004, and shortly afterward was sent to serve our Country in Operation Iraqi Freedom. He is currently stationed in Kuwait, and has since been in correspondence with our Lodge Secretary, Bro. Roger Smith, PM. Below are copies of Bro. Buchanan's replies to Bro. Smith.

"Roger, Please feel free to give my e-mail to anyone in the lodge or share any of my messages with them. I would love to hear from them. Living conditions aren't bad because we have been here for a while they have things built up for us. The Army has provided us with just about everything we need. We have a PX to get everything else we need. So we are pretty much set for now. I will keep in touch and let you know how things are going. If anyone has questions feel free to ask. If it's something I'm allowed to discuss I will.

Take care.
James"

"Roger, Just wanted to say hi and let you know I'm doing good. I haven't found anyplace where Mason's are meeting here yet. My group is kept apart from most of the other people here so I never know what's going on the rest of the post. I don't mind it here so far. It's in the low 100's right now but is suppose to get hotter. What will I have to do when I get back to get my second degree? Is there anything I can do here to prepare for it? I have to run but tell everyone I said hi. I get to come home in July for two weeks of R&R. Maybe I'll have a chance to see you.

Take care.
James"
