ALLEGIANCE

The bodies of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, sitting in the Valley of Roanoke, Orient of Virginia, acknowledge and yield allegiance to the Supreme Council (Mother Council of the World) of the Inspectors General, Knights Commander of the House of the Temple of Solomon, of the Thirty-Third and last degree of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, for the Southern Jurisdiction of the United States of America, whose see is at Charleston, in the State of South Carolina, now sitting at Washington, D. C.


On behalf of the Officers and members of the Ancient & Accepted Scottish Rite, Orient of Virginia, Valley of Roanoke, we welcome you to this site and hope that the information you find displayed here will be helpful and useful information about our Scottish Rite Bodies here in Roanoke in the Southwest part of Virginia. Brethren,

It is with great pleasure that I announce the individuals that have been elected to the 33°, Inspector General Honorary and Knight Commander of the Court of Honour.  I extend my hearty congratulations to each of you and would ask that the rest of the brethren do the same.  I extend to you my deepest appreciation of your service and efforts in Freemasonry, the Scottish Rite and in the world at large. I have the greatest confidence that you will continue to lead and serve the Valley of Roanoke to a bigger and brighter future.

The conferral of the 33° will be held on August 23, 2011 in Washington, DC during the Supreme Council Biennial Session.  The investiture of the Knight Commander of the Court of Honour will be held on September 24, 2011 in Newport News, VA during the Scottish Rite Conference of Virginia.

Valley of Roanoke Celebrates 100 Years!

The Valley of Roanoke celebrated the 100th anniversary of the chartering of the Lodge of Perfection at the May Stated Meeting. The logo above was crafted into an impressive lapel pin and given to all of the attendees at the meeting and dinner.  Illustrious and Most Worshipful James Dean Cole, 33°, SGIG and Illustrious and Most Worshipful John Mason Chambliss, Jr., 33°, Grand Master of Masons in Virginia were on hand to celebrate this momentous event.
