September 2011 Stated Meeting
Radford University Grant Recipients Honored
Our program for September 13th was a visit from the Radford University RiteCare® Program scholarship recipients. This program, which is funded in part by the Scottish Rite, helps children with speech and hearing difficulties and those with autism. The recipients will be working towards graduate degrees in the area of needs mentioned above. These young women were introduced by Pat Rossi, a staff member at Radford, who has been with us many times in the past. Each scholarship recipient spoke of their major area of concentration or, if a first year graduate student, what they were considering. They all thanked the Scottish Rite for their generous support of the scholarship program.
It was an enjoyable evening for all in attendance. In the future, when the students from Radford University will be visiting, please put the meeting date on your calendar and join us to show your support for the challenging career paths these young women have chosen.
