The Ivory Gavels and Working Tools of the Second Degree

A charming and delightful gesture of goodwill was witnessed at the regular meeting held on the 1st March 1920, when the late W.Bro. Albert I. Baker, P.P.G.D., who was then the Senior Warden, presented to the Lodge a handsome set of working tools, consisting of three Gavels, Square, Level and Plumb Rule, fashioned in Ivory and tastefully embellished with silver mounting.

A Trustee of the Lodge, the late W.Bro. G.B. Saunders, P.P.G.Ass.S., in accepting the beautiful gifts, suitably thanked the donor and proceeded to express in happy terms his admiration for their beauty and his appreciation for the kindly thought of the Senior Warden.

The beautiful implements of architecture were then passed on to the late W.Bro. Richard Hopper Holme, P.P.G.W., Chaplain, who dedicated them in perpetuity for the use of Freemasonry and working of Prince of Wales Lodge.
