The 250th Anniversary Celebrations of The Thistle Lodge of Glasgow No 87 Chartered 16th March 1762 On Saturday 24th March 2012 a large Deputation from the Grand Lodge of Scotland headed by the Grand Master Mason carried out a ceremony of Rededication to commemorate the 250th Anniversary of the Lodge. The Deputation of Commissioned Office-Bearers and Elected Office-Bearers from the Province was headed by the Depute Provincial Grand Master, Brother Anthony R. Warnock. The Provincial Grand Master of Ayrshire Brother Archibald Chalmers was also present. Brother David Bolling, Master of the Lodge and his Brethren are to be congratulated for the excellent arrangements made to celebrate this historic event. The Province wishes the Lodge well for the future!
Glasgow's Lollipop Person of the Year Next week, the week beginning 5th March 2012, Brother Alexander Macadie, Past Master of Lodge Oatlands No 1005 will be one of four Lollipop Persons from whom Glasgow's Lollipop Person of the Year will be chosen. Brother Macadie in November last year was awarded the Honorary Grand Rank of Bible-Bearer.
