Resolution to Amend Article XI of the By-Laws of Ocala Chapter No. 13, R.A.M.

Whereas, the present language of Article XI of the Ocala Chapter No. 13 By Laws indicates what our dues consist of and reads as follow:

.... “…The annual dues of this Chapter shall be $25.00 dollars, which includes the annual per capita of the Grand Chapter, plus such additional sums as the Grand Chapter shall from time to time prescribe, payable in advance at the beginning of each Chapter Year, to wit: December 28th of each year…”

Whereas, presently our Dues include the Grand Chapter’s Per Capita plus any other sum as prescribed by the Grand Chapter from time to time.

Whereas, if there is any Grand Chapter Per Capita increase, Article XI will need to be amended to adjust this increase with our dues.

Whereas, there is no stipulation in Article XI that gives Ocala Chapter No. 13 the authority to assess any special fees or sums, if needed.

Whereas, the Grand Chapter Per Capita should be separate from our local dues to avoid any further amendment to our bylaws.

Whereby, let it be resolved by the present resolution

1.      To amend Article XI to read as follows:

“…The annual dues of this Chapter shall be $16.00 dollars, plus the annual per capita of the Grand Chapter, plus such additional sums, special fees or assessments as the Grand Chapter or Ocala Chapter shall from time to time prescribe, payable in advance at the beginning of each Chapter Year, to wit: December 28th of each year…”

2.      That this amendment will take effect as soon as approved by the Grand High Priest.

3.      That this new structure will begin with the 2008 Dues Card Notices.

R. & S.M.

Whereas, the present language of Article XI of the Ocala Council No. 22 By Laws indicates what our dues consist of and reads as follow:

.... “…The annual dues of this Council shall be $25.00 dollars, which includes the annual per capita of the Grand Council, plus such additional sums as the Grand Council shall from time to time prescribe, payable in advance at the beginning of each Council Year, to wit: December 28th of each year…”

Whereas, presently our Dues include the Grand Council’s Per Capita plus any other sum as prescribed by the Grand Council from time to time.

Whereas, if there is any Grand Council Per Capita increase, Article XI will need to be amended to adjust this increase with our dues.

Whereas, there is no stipulation in Article XI that gives Ocala Council No. 22 the authority to assess any special fees or sums, if needed.

Whereas, the Grand Council Per Capita should be separate from our local dues to avoid any further amendment to our bylaws.

“…The annual dues of this Council shall be $16.00 dollars, plus the annual per capita of the Grand Council, plus such additional sums, special fees or assessments as the Grand Council or Ocala Council No. 22 shall from time to time prescribe, payable in advance at the beginning of each Council Year, to wit: December 28th of each year…”

2.    That this amendment will take effect as soon as approved by the Illustrious Grand Master.

3.      That this new structure will begin with the 2008 Dues Card Notices.

Resolution to Amend Article XI of the By-Laws of Ocala Commandery No. 19, K.T.

Whereas, the present language of Article XI , Section 3 of the Ocala Commandery No. 19 By Laws indicates what our dues consist of and reads as follow:

“…The annual dues of this Commandery shall be $25.00 Dollars, plus $1.00 for the Knights Templar Eye Foundation if not a Life Member of the same, payable in advance at the beginning of each Templar year; viz.: January 1…”

Whereas, presently our Dues include the Grand Commandery's Per Capita plus the $1.00, for the Knights Templar Eye Foundation, for those that are not Perpetual Members of the same and any other sum as prescribed by the Grand Commandery from time to time.

Whereas, if there is any Grand Commandery Per Capita increase, Article XI, Section 3 will need to be amended to adjust this increase with our dues.

Whereas, there is no stipulation in Article XI, Section 3 that gives Ocala Commandery No. 19 the authority to assess any special fees or sums, if needed.

Whereas, the Grand Commandery Per Capita should be separate from our local dues to avoid any further amendment to our bylaws.

Whereby, let it be resolved by the present resolution

1.      To amend Article XI, Section 3 to read as follows:

“…The annual dues of this Commandery shall be $16.00 dollars, plus the annual per capita of the Grand Commandery, plus such additional sums, special fees or assessments as the Grand Commandery or Ocala Commandery No. 19 shall from time to time prescribe, plus $1.00 for the Knights Templar Eye Foundation if not a Life Member of the same, payable in advance at the beginning of each Templar year; viz.: January 1…”

2.    That this amendment will take effect as soon as approved by the Right Eminent Grand Commander.

3.    That this new structure will begin with the 2008 Dues Card Notices.

Ocala York Rite Bodies of Freemasonry

Ocala Chapter No. 13, Royal Arch Masons Ocala Council No. 22, Royal & Select Masters Ocala Commandery No. 19, Knights Templar

Chapter and Council meets on the second Wednesdays of the month. Chapter meets on Odd Months and Council on Even Months. Commandery meets on the 4th Wednesday of the month. Meetings are at Belleview Lodge (Belleview, Florida) beginning at 7:30 PM.
