NEW LONDON LODGE # 283

Square MESSAGE FROM THE MASTER

Tidings from the East! The January meeting went very well. I wish to thank you all for your patience and love. Dave Reaser and I went to Founders Day. This trip was very informative and entertaining. The lunch was OK, but the company was great. The skits performed in the afternoon were gut-bustingly funny.

Pessimist Lodge #893 was opened in form and when the Good of the Order was called the youngest Mason stood up and asked the lodge if they would sponsor the little league team that he couches. The WM didn't remember him nor did any of the officers or members present. He said the lodge sponsored him in the one day program. All the brothers start rumbling. He starts to try to sell the idea to help the children then everyone says, "That'll cost money!" I just about laughed my lunch up. Thank the GAOTU that we are not the only lodge dealing with these issues.

The EA Jan. 21 went very well. Please make Max feel welcome when you see him. Kenny Mills set in the East and did a great job. John Chaplin did a heart felt presentation of the apron lecture. Rex Calgrove was the SD and did a great job, as always. Mike's first meal was delious. Tom Peters, Senior Warden and Donnie Parvin, WM at Russiaville Lodge, did the crossfire. Jim Henry from Naphtali Lodge did the second lecture. Our own Jerry Simon did the third lecture. Max was very appreciative of the work performed for him and showed it.

Please keep Jim Kuntz, an honorary member from Russiaville Lodge, in your prayers. His father is not doing well. Please keep me in your prayers to make the right decisions for the good of the lodge and honor to the fraternity.

Thank you,
God bless,
Brent Huber, Worshipful Master
