The Master's Word

September-October 2005

Brethren:

As vacation time is coming to an end and fall fast approaching, we will begin our regular lodge schedule. We have a candidate ready to receive the Fellow Craft Degree on Thursday, September 8th at 7:00 P.M. Please plan to attend as we welcome a new brother to receive more light in Masonry!

His Master Mason Degree is scheduled for Thursday, September 29th at 6:00 P.M.

During the summer break, several of our brothers volunteered to do necessary repair work to brother Ike Orr's home. This labor of brotherly love was accomplished by brothers Bob Thomas, Jerry Parker, Bill Sanders, Larry and wife Joyce Parker. Hundreds of hours were invested in this endeavor. Helping a brother in need as these volunteers have done, has shown the true spirit of the fraternity.

At the October 10th stated meeting we will have the 25th reunion of those raised in 1980. Join us in honoring the silver anniversary of these brothers. Lodge opens at 7:00 P.M., so come out and enjoy the fellowship with these brothers.

The fall chicken noodle dinner will be October 15th from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Please plan to come out and enjoy Mount Moriah's famous chicken and noodle dinner and enjoy the fellowship for this fall tradition.

At the July stated meeting, Geoffrey Brumback was elected as Junior Warden. Also, brother Brian Dailey was advanced to Senior Deacon and brother David Albea was advanced to Junior Deacon.

For those of you with computers and internet access, there are website listings with links to many lodges in Madison County. Mount Moriah's website is www.mastermason.com/mtmoriah77. From time to time, necessary changes must be made in dates or times for degree work and will be updated on this website.

Fraternally Yours,

William H. Presser
