History of Mt. Musuan Chapter

Sometime in April 1978, WB Sotero Roque requested WB Leonardo T. Panares, Chairman of the Wadih C. Saab Chapter, Order of DeMolay, Cagayan de Oro City, to orient the Dads of Zosimo Montemayor Lodge No. 212 the possibility of organizing a DeMolay chapter in the campus of CMU at Musuan, Bukidnon.

About the middle part of the year 1978, a  group of DeMolays, composed of several Past Master Councilors Kim C. Tulio, Esteban Requiinto, Jr. and Past Jurisdictional Master Councilor Crisanto Abellanosa, Jr. made another follow-up orientation.

Then, sometime on October 4, 1980, upon the request of WB Oseas M. Resus and with the support of the Masons of Zosimo Montemayor Lodge No. 212, Dad Enrico A. Eblacas, Dad Inido C. Mercado of Maguindanao Lodge No. 40 and Bro. Crisanto Abellanosa, Jr. JMC made the final arrangement for the organization of the first DeMolay chapter in Bukidnon District No. 35. An Advisory Council was created and about 28 students from Central Mindanao University, signified their intention to compose the initial nucleus of the said chapter.  However, the organizational plans were postponed due to circumstances that hindered the preparation of its Letters Temporary.

On March of 1983, upon the request of the Masons of Zosimo Montemayor Lodge No. 212, and principally thru the Chairman of the new Advisory Council, Dad Rodolfo C. Nayga and the Chapter Dad, WB Amado Montemayor 32^o, a subsequent request was made thru WB L.T. Panares. Due to the scheduled 2^nd Northern Mindanao DeMolay District Conclave, the said plans were tabled and rescheduled for May 1983.

In May 1983, WB Manuel C. Inigo, Executive Officer of the Mindanao Jurisdiction, requested and instructed Dad Enrico A. Eblacas together with Roy Cedeno PMC to formalize the “Institution and Installation” of the chapter, its chapter officers, Advisory Council and Mother’s Club; requesting further that the Wadih C. Saab Chapter, Order of DeMolay, will conduct the Installation of the chapter while WB Manuel C. Inigo will install the Advisory Council and the Mother’s Club.

August 20, 1983 was chosen for the date of Installation but was postponed due to some difficulty and was moved to September 20, 1983. However, due to the vehicular accident that resulted to the death of WB Amado Montemayor’s mother-in-law, brother-in-law and nephew, the said affair was set to another date.

In November 12, 1983, the officers of Mt. Musuan Chapter, Order of DeMolay was Installed and the chapter was Instituted.
