A Short Web History and Acknowledgement from the First Webmaster of ML40, Bro. Nico B. Valmoria:

The Maguindanao Lodge No. 40 F. & A.M. website was originally created on January of 1996 under the term of then WB now VW Boni Leyson. The site was hosted at another site before moving it to http://www.nip.upd.edu.ph/plasma/~nico/freemason.html. Unfortunately, the site was not maintained after my graduation from Plasma - NIP in April 2000 and was taken out of the web on August 2001. Though it was not an official website, nevertheless, I think it was the first Filipino Lodge on the Web.

The New Maguindanao Lodge No. 40 F. & A.M. Website is created on 08 August 2001 and posted on August 10, 2001 (Pending Lodge Resolution), upon the order of the Lodge Secretary, VW Bro. Galileo G. Padero, PM, PDGL, MY 2001. Lodge resolution for this site was approved on 03 November 2001 under the term of WM Kris V. Curaming. Officially Posted on 5th of November 2001 with approved Lodge Resolution. It was hosted by www.TRIPOD.com until it was moved to www.MasterMason.com on April 23,2002. My sincerest thanks to Bro. Rey Dotson for giving us a space in MasterMason.com

All of the documents in this site was furnished by the Lodge Secretary. While Bro. Chito Olifernes for the Maguindanao Lodge Logo used in this page (he created it using ACAD).

From the Desk of the Second WebMaster of Maguindanao Lodge No. 40

After appointed as Webmaster by WM Jomar Manubag in November 2002, I continued maintaining the website and thought of changing the webaddress from www.mastermason.com/maguindanao40 to www.mastermason.com/ml40 to shorten the URL and likewise for easy typing. I modified the webpages using Dreamweaver MX but it was originally constructed using Frontpage by the former Webmaster. Animations and graphics were added using Flash and Photoshop as well as some new pages and links which might interest the readers not only Masons but also non-masons.

Aside from maintaining the website regularly, I have also made an eGroup List for Maguindanao Lodge No. 40 so that the brethren can post their concerns and other things pertaining to the Lodge in particular and to Masonry in general. A Chatroom was also created from Bravenet.com wherein members and non-members can communicate with each other in real time. And hopefully, the Maguindanao Lodge No. 40 website will soon have an online services.
