The Masonic Moroni
After spending many hours on the web researching this topic- as well as reading numerous books and articles- I thought it might be useful to both myself and others to bring several of the items that I have come across to a single location. Perhaps you know of something that should be here. If so, let me know and I will gladly include it...
My interest in this topic springs from my association with
both institutions. I was raised in the Mormon faith and I am a
member and Past Master of Fort Jackson Masonic Lodge No. 374 in Columbia, South Carolina. I am also a
32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason, York Rite Mason, a member and Past President of the South
Carolina Masonic Research Society,
et cetera. If you are interested in leaning more
about me, click on the SC State Flag...

The articles, images, and quotations on this site come from a variety of source (please see FAIR USE NOTICE below) and offer a variety of perspectives.
I have organized the articles-- most of which are linked from other sites-- with regards to the authors' affiliation, or lack of affiliation (when applicable or known), with either the Mormon Faith or the Masonic Fraternity.

Celestial Articles are indicated by a sun icon and are those articles whose author is both a Mormon and a Mason.
Terrestrial Articles, indicated by a moon icon, are those articles whose author is either a Mormon or a Mason, but not both.
Telestial Articles are those articles whose author is neither a Mormon nor a Mason and are indicated by a star icon.
I have also put together a gallery of images as well as a page of various quotations related to the question of Mormonism and Freemasonry. These pages will be updated as I find new material.
All of the material presented on this site, in my view, has its merit and should be given a careful reading. Even those articles with an obvious bias or agenda may offer a morsel of truth-- or a key to it-- if the inquirer is diligent in his or her pursuit.
In way of a disclaimer, I want to make it clear that it is not the intention of The Masonic Moroni to ridicule anyone's faith or make light of beliefs and practices held to be secret or sacred by Mormons or Freemasons. There is, however, a fine line between honest inquiry and insensitive scrutiny and a narrow path one must trod in the pursuit of wisdom. The truth often lays somewhere in the crossfire of conflicting ideas and in the questions raised in face of opposing viewpoints. It is to this pursuit of truth that The Masonic Moroni respectfully aspires…
