In case you were wondering, here's a little about me...

My name is Paul. I reside in the
City of Cayce
located just outside of the Capital City of
South Carolina ,
Columbia,
with my lovely wife, Suzette. I recently left the banking industry to work as a benefits
councilor at the
South Carolina Retirement
Systems. I also teach philosophy at
Midlands Technical
College when my schedule permits. My
hobbies/interests include the 3 R's (reading, researching and writing),
collecting books, painting, buying and
selling on eBay, keeping a journal, and-- when time permits-- keeping this web site
up to date.
I
hail from Columbia,
South Carolina where I graduated from Dreher High School in
1987 and later attended The University of South Carolina where I received
a B.A. in Philosophy & Religious Studies in 1994 and a M.A. in Philosophy in 1999. My focus in graduate school was the Philosophy of Religion . I wrote my thesis on the
German Existentialist philosopher
Karl Jaspers. The
title of it is "Philosophical Faith and the Possibility of Religious Truth in
the Philosophy of Karl Jaspers." Click
HERE to read it.
Between high school and college, I served a
full time mission for the
Mormon Church in the
Florida, Ft.
Lauderdale Mission from 1988-1990. I was assigned to the Haitian community in Miami
where I had the opportunity to teach and learn the Haitian-Kreyol
language. While I am
no longer active in the Mormon Church, I
continue to have a great respect for this church, its history, and its
members.
I am honored to be a Freemason and to have served as Master of my Lodge,
Fort Jackson Lodge No. 374,
in 2003. To see my other Masonic offices, activities,
and/or affiliations, please click

I am also a proud member of the
Sons of Confederate Veterans,
a fraternal organization of Southern Men whose ancestors fought in The War
Between the States. ![]()
