THE HISTORY OF THE TALL CEDAR ROSE

The Objective of the Tall Cedar Foundation is a fight against Muscular Dystrophy. One of our many fund raising projects is the Rose Program. Here is a little history of the Tall Cedar Rose.

In 1979, Essex Forest No. 8 established the Rose Program as a new fundraiser for the Tall Cedars. A total of $5,261,26 was raised that first year.

"Roses Against Muscular Dystrophy" was adopted as a national program and offered on street corners and at special events of the Forests.

The Rose Program remains much the same today.

Over the years, the Rose has become the signature of a Tall Cedar and the Tall Cedar's pirpose to find a cure for neuromuscular diseases. We wear the rose as a reminder of our commitment to be there for the Kids to the end.

So be proud when you wear this rose and join in the fun, frolic and fellowship of Tall Cedarism and the fight against Muscular Dystrophy.
