Little League Parade
Little League Parade
The Little League Grand Slam parade will kick off this years Little League celebration and World Series on Thursday August 19, 2010. We, as Freemasons, will be celebrating the founder of Little League Baseball, Brother Carl E. Stotz.
There will be an 18th District float upon which the Master & Wardens will ride in full regalia. Each Lodge will be identified on the side of the float and their officers will be placed in that area. In addition each Lodge is invited and encourage to participate in the parade either by designing a float or simply carrying a banner identifying their Lodge. We encourage as many as possible to participate. The Dress for the general membership is whatever your particular Lodge decides, most will be marching wearing their golf shirt or ball cap of their Lodge. A reception will be held in the Acacia Club following the parade for all participating Masons to attend. All of the Grand Officers from all Bodies will be participating in the parade and will be invited to attend the reception following the parade. Light refreshments will be served.
The parade will begin on Campbell Street and proceed east to Market Street via 4th Street. The parade ends at 4th and Market. Parade will form at 5 PM and move at 6 PM. Complete details as to where our Division will assemble is not available at this time but will be communicated as soon as this information is available.
This event will let all of Williamsport and the surrounding communities know that Masonry is well within our communities. Each Lodges participation, beside their Master and Wardens is essential.
