History of Hope Lodge #150          

·         The first meeting place of the Hope Lodge is unknown and there are no records indicating where meetings were being held the first six years.

·         In 1859 a building that belonged to the Lodge in which meetings were held was destroyed by fire.

·         On March 13, 1903, the ground was purchased by the Lodge for the Temple on the west side of the town square.

·         On January 4, 1910, the grand opening for the Temple located on the west side of the square was held.

·         On this January 4, 1910 event, several masons from both Columbus and Elizabethtown came by train for degree work in the afternoon, and a banquet and public program in the evening. 

·         March 22, 1985 was the effective date for moving the Charter to the new Lodge located south of town on state road 9 across from Hauser High School.

·         The evening of March 22, 1985 was the first Lodge meeting in the new Temple with a joint meeting for a Lodge of Instruction with Hope Lodge #150 and Farmers Lodge #147.

·         At the Stated Meeting held on January  13, 2009, those in attendance unanimously voted to accept the members of what was Elizabethtown Lodge into consolidation with Hope Lodge #150.
