The lodge's number on the roll of the United Grand Lodge of England The Square & Compasses is the international symbol of Freemasonry The two stars represent our twofold duty - to God and to man. The greyhound reminds us that we should be swift and determined to serve God and our fellow man. The crown is a symbol which looks back to the antiquity of our land, and forward to the Kingdom of Heaven which awaits all good men. The chaplet of oak leaves reminds us of the leafy Warwickshire countryside, geographically the Heart of England. Also the oak symbolises strength & stability in moral & social matters The formation of the Heart of England Lodge was sponsored by the Forest of Arden Lodge. The oak leaves & acorns also represent that link. The lodge was formed in 1947 Heart of England Banner Hover over an area of the banner for an explanation of its signficance.
