Greetings GACHIP enthusiasts. I hope that everyone is doing well. The GACHIP efforts this year have proven what can be accomplished when groups work together for a cause as noble as protecting our children. Because of volunteer efforts from you, we have provided GACHIP packets to the parents or guardians of 28,388 children at 280 events throughout Georgia. Although we need to pray that these packets are never needed, it is a blessing to be involved in a program that can provide these tools to those parents.
We are at a busy time of year for our program and need all the help we can get. If you see a GACHIP event listed that you can assist with, please contact the event coordinator and let them know. It is important to remember that the GACHIP event orientations are not just for the new GACHIP volunteer, but by attending these orientations you can help all of us learn and grow from your experience and ideas. This will also be the time that we lay out the upcoming event, so it’s important that all volunteers be present so that assignments can be arranged.
All GACHIP events are sponsored by a Masonic Lodge and can be partnered with other organizations. Your 9th District GACHIP Team provides everything that is needed to host a GACHIP event in your community including equipment, supplies and training. The sponsoring lodge is responsible for event facilities, volunteers and the commitment to help us bring all these elements together. In addition to this, each sponsoring lodge must have a GACHIP Chairman assigned to serve as the Event Coordinator while working closely with a GACHIP District Representative. With everyone doing their part, all of our GACHIP events will be well organized, stress-free and fun for all participants.
If you would like to be a part of this program or if you know of a group or organization that would like a GACHIP presentation, please contact me or your sub-district director.
I appreciate all that you are doing and look forward to working with you soon.
