We often receive emails regarding the Masonic history or records of a family member or ancestor. Unfortunately, Mastermason.com does not have access to this type of information and cannot help you. Each Grand Lodge keeps records on their members. Lodges also may have an archive of past members and be able to help you.

In order to receive such information, you should determine the state or country where your ancestor may have been a member. You should then contact the Grand Lodge in that area and provide as much information as possible about your ancestor. Provide a full name, date of birth, and the date of his passing if you have this information. If possible, include the span of years when you think your ancestor may have been a member. With enough information, the Grand Lodge may be able to provide you with your ancestors Masonic record, including the name & number of his lodge and their location. Once you know the name and location of the lodge you might be able to get additional information from them.

A web search on Google or Yahoo can most always provide you with a link to the website of the Grand Lodge that can assist you. Use keywords in your search such as: Grand Lodge of (State or Country), and you should be able to find them. Each Grand Lodge website should have an address, phone number and fax number for their Grand Secretary's Office, which is who you should contact.

Please do not contact Mastermason Com with questions regarding genealogy. We do not store information of this type.  We have provided some other helpful links on this page which might help you in your research. Due to the numerous requests we receive for help with genealogy questions, we will no longer be able to respond to such requests as we are unable to help you.

Good Luck in your search!
