Become a part of our future!
Greetings Brothers & Sisters, Because of the sheer size of our ever growing site and the network resources required to remain operational, we have been offered a golden opportunity by our provider (Cyberconnect of Chicago) to install our own "Dedicated Masonic Server" on their network. By having our own Masonic Web Server, we will be able to continue to offer free space indefinitely and provide more extensive (and better) services to our brethren for the good of the fraternity. What does this mean to our users?Once our own server is in place, we will be able to not only continue issuing free space indefinitely, but also offer full e-mail POP3 accounts, web mail & mail forwarding (alias addresses), and e-mail lists. Our server will also be able to support online databasing, Streaming Multimedia, secured or password protected folders, and we may possibly offer expanded Masonic Domain hosting.
How you can help to support our project:Until now, we have paid for our network resources out of our own pocket, never looking to make a profit nor personally benefit from our efforts, other than to offer support for our fellow E-Masons. To have our own Dedicated Server, it is necessary to build a Network computer which will be able to support the needs of our existing service and the additional services we hope to offer. We have already purchased several of the needed pieces of hardware, but the cost of the memory (RAM) and hard drives to complete the machine is beyond the scope of our personal financial resources. Therefore we are making this appeal to our loyal users, friends, and supporters....... Brothers, we need your help to complete the building of our Network computer. If you feel you would like to support this project and become an active part of our future, we are engaging in a fund raiser to raise the additional capital needed to complete the project. We are asking you or your respective Lodges to show your support by making a one-time donation which is NOT a requirement to use or continue using our free service. If the majority of our friends and supporters can give just a little, we can build something together which will be a benefit to any Mason who wishes to have a homepage on the Internet. Upon the completion of the Masonic Web Server, we will not consider it to be the property of Mastermason.com, but a resource which we will hold in Trust for the benefit of Global E-M@sonry. How to donate to the Fund Raiser:First we would like to state that all funds collected will be used solely for the purposes of building our Dedicated Masonic Server. In the event that we collect a surplus of funds beyond what is needed for the required hardware and associated software, all surplus funds will be donated to the Shriners Children's Hospitals. River
Forest-Austin Lodge No.850 A.F&A.M, of Riverside Illinois, has shown their support of this project by offering to oversee and administer our fund raiser. If you are willing to show your support by donating to this worthy cause, River Forest-Austin
Lodge has agreed to manage this
fund by receiving your checks or cash and making payments to our vendors on your behalf. If you have decided to show your support for this project, we have arranged for the following methods to make your donations: To send cash or checks:Checks should be made out to: River Forest-Austin Lodge, and your check or cash can then be mailed to: River Forest-Austin Lodge To donate electronically:We have a PayPal account which you can conveniently use to send your donations by using a Visa or Mastercard. If you register (free) with PayPal, you can also send an electronic check or bank deposit through their safe and secure service. Click on the button below to use PayPal.
If you are not familiar with PayPal, click on this link to learn more about their service... We whole-heartedly thank you for your support, and we look forward to servicing you and the Masonic community in the years to come. Are we on the level?Yes we are! Our 4 years of continuous service to Global E-Masonry demonstrates this. In order to protect the integrity of our fund raiser, we have asked River Forest-Austin Lodge to administer the collection and allocation of funds,
and to insure that excess donations be forwarded to the Shrine Hospitals. This was unanimously voted on and agreed to by the brethren at the stated meeting of November 2000, and has been permanently recorded into the Lodge Records.
