Bob Pool, Current Deputy Grand Monarch & 2008 - 2009 Grand Monarch

We have received confirmation that the Grand Monarch will be at our 2008 Master Mason Night which will take place at Oberlin Inn July 12th 2008, There will be a charge for any non-El Rey Prophets all Master Masons and their wife's will eat for free.

We are looking forward to a great event this year!

Three New El Rey Prophets!

This past Friday was our first stated meeting of 2008, we were lucky enough to initiate 3 New El Rey Prophets, please come out and welcome Prophets Walker, Yorich and Behner (Prophet Behner is a current DDGM of the 22nd District of the Ohio Grand Lodge) We hope they come out often and enjoy the good fellowship El Rey has to offer!

Visitors from Singara Grotto

We were also thrilled to have a troop of Past Monarch's, Prophets and Officers from Singara led by Monarch and PPOGA Mark McCombs. Who presented our new Prophets each a Mokanna Head lapel pin. We will try to make it up to Singara in the months to come!

Sick & Welfare

Prophet Dale Miller's Blood Sugar is a continuous struggle.

Prophet Chaplin George Fehlner is still recovering at Avon Oaks, I understand he is doing as well as can be expected.

I have no further report on PM Robert Rieck at this time.

PM Larry Meadows Sr., was also under the weather and unable to attend our Session this month

Enchanted Lantern

In PM Meadows absence, Venerable Prophet David Kick presented Chief Justice John Morris with an Enchanted Lantern, where upon Chief Justice Morris gave a short explanation of the Humanitarian Foundation and Enchanted Lantern program to our newly initiated Prophets

Steak Fry Report

   We had a great time at the Steak Fry with nearly 80 people served. A good working crew and a nice profit made.

   We will likely have another Steak Fry soon you may post comments here

George Fehlner in the Hospital

   Prophets, I was informed today by various people that our Chaplin George fell and broke his hip on Saturday the 2nd. Below is the email from Ken Killinger.

   I have also been informed after receiving this, that George will be in the hospital until either Tues or Wed. and then will have to be in a rehabilitation facility for an unknown amount of time.

Original Message from Ken.

   Brothers, Incase you haven't heard WB George Fehlner took a fall Saturday, at home, and broke his hip. He had surgery around noon on Sunday, and by 5:30 he was resting well in his room. He is at St John Westshore, Room 4108

It is unknown how long they will keep him there. Cards can be sent to.

   I have added a Forum to our site the link is in the index on this page I will be updating all the pages index's soon, you will need to register for the forum to post and view some of the boards.

   Officers you have been given an user name and password, which will distinguish you as an officer, I will be emailing them to each of you shortly. Please modify your profiles and add your information.

   This will be a test run to see how it goes and we will determine how to proceed.

Carl Carlson's Father Passed Away

     We have had some loss already this year, our Master of Ceremonies Carl Carlson Jr. father Carl Carlson Sr. passed away on January 1st 2008 at the age of 96 leaving many grandkids, great grandkids and even great great grandkids behind. Carl's wife Elaine was ill and was admitted to the hospital during this time. Carl our thoughts and prayers are with you during these troubling times.
