Greetings
to all my Sisters and Brothers:
I want to thank
the chapter for the Get Well card I received when I had my foot surgery. I really have been under the weather not
only because of the surgery but because I fell the Saturday before my surgery, Aug 28th. After x-rays, the doctor told me that I had a bad
contusion under my left knee cap and would need to wear a knee brace for up to 2 months. The only problem with trying to rest that leg is
that I needed it to get around with after my surgery.
So it hasnt healed as quickly as I had hoped it would.
I am so very
proud of our chapter for hosting and participating in the School of Instruction held at
the Cayce Lodge on August 27th. The
food was delicious and decorations added a special touch to the meal.
Thanks to
everyone who participated in our annual garage sale.
I apologize to the chapter for not making the set-up on Friday and the
garage sale on Saturday, Sept. 11th.
However, it proved, once again how strong our chapter is and how
everyone pulls together to see activities through when a crisis comes up. Again, thank you so much to the faithful group
that put together and carried off a very successful garage sale!
One project I
wanted us to think about supporting during my year was the Dang-It Dolls. Our chapter once again came through and
voted to send a very generous amount to this project.
It is a cause that touches a great many of us personally and I hope that we
will also support them by coming and helping out on the 2nd Saturday of each
month. We have
decided to re-start our social gatherings. Our
first one for the year will be on September 23 at Longhorns over on Harbison Blvd.
at 7:00. Every member, the officers
and their traveling partners are invited to the
social. Chapter dues are
$20.00/Year and are due and payable on or before April 1st of each chapter year. This is
your official notice. Jane is now receiving dues for the year
2010-2011. Please bring to a chapter meeting
(preferable) or send to: Cayce #260 OES Jane B. Munn, Secretary 1409 Whippoorwill Drive West

Cayce
Chapter 260 Order of the Eastern Star held District 22s annual School of Instruction
on August 27, 2010. A big thank you goes out
to the members of District 22 who help set up and clean up.
A
delicious meal of chicken strips, green beans, potato salad, a roll, and a fruit cup was
served. We, also, want to thank the West
Columbia Assembly #36 International Order of the Rainbow for Girls for serving the meal. They did an excellent job!
Last
of all, a big thank you goes to our members who participated in the meeting and
initiation.
We
really appreciate all those that attended as District 22 had one of the largest groups
represented at the school. Reminder: Initiation Sept. 21
