Monday, April 1st Business Meeting Friday, April 19th Friends and Family night Covered Dish/Potluck 6:30pm all welcome! Greetings from the East, I hope this finds each
of you doing well. Remember to keep those on our prayer list in your thoughts and prayers.
Please help us keep this list up to date by letting us know of any that need to be added. At our March meeting we
received a report on our pancake breakfast. Thank you to all who helped to make this so
successful. We agreed to support the local Rainbow Girls by purchasing an ad in their
Program. We voted to use some of the pancake profits to purchase a floor cleaning machine.
Our dining room floors are in dire need of refinishing and this will be a great help in
getting this accomplished. We have managed to
capture 3 sister lodges kitchen flags. Our goal is to capture all 7 (8 with our own)
district flags. We will be visiting a different lodge every Thursday this month. If you
would like to participate simply let me know. We would love to have you go with us. These
visits are a great way to get out and meet and fellowship with Masons all over the
district. Looking out past this
month, our covered dish get together will be Friday evening April 19th starting at 6:30PM.
Grand Lodge will be on April 24th and 25th in Charleston SC. Consider attending either or
both of these events. Your officers are steady
working to increase participation and opportunities inside and outside the lodge. If you
have any ideas or suggestions to make our lodge friendlier or more enjoyable please pass
them on to us. Any of us can sit back and think of how they should do
something different but how many of us come out, speak up and offer suggestions to improve
things? I challenge each of you to step up and help us to make Cayce Lodge better. Until next time, may God
bless and keep each of us. Fraternally, Mark Pridgen, PM, WM Greetings from the West! Spring has almost
sprung, and our beloved yellow confetti will soon be dusting our vehicles with a sprinkle
of joy! We are thrilled to
announce a Family and Friends event scheduled for April 19th. This gathering is a
wonderful occasion for members, along with their friends and family, to enjoy each other's
company, partake in delectable cuisine, and unwind in the welcoming atmosphere of Cayce
Lodge. Your presence would add immeasurable value to the event, and we encourage you to
join us for what promises to be a memorable day. For those who have not
visited Cayce Lodge recently, we extend a warm invitation to our next business meeting on
April 1st. The evening will commence with dinner at 6:30 PM, followed by the meeting at
7:30 PM. This is an excellent opportunity to reconnect with the Lodge, get involved, and
contribute to our shared goals. Should you be interested in participating or wish to learn
more about how you can make a difference, please do not hesitate to contact our officers. This fall, Cayce Lodge
is excited to venture into the realm of esports by hosting our first esports tournament.
Esports, or competitive gaming, offers both solo and team-based challenges. Our first
tournament will feature 1-on-1 competitions, with the victor receiving a championship
belt, and additional prizes for runners-up. Accompanied by food and a potential raffle,
this event is a fantastic way to engage with the wider community and showcase the vibrant
spirit of Cayce Lodge. Volunteers play a
crucial role in the success of our events, and we invite you to contribute your time and
skills, regardless of your familiarity with esports. For more information on volunteering
or if you can lend equipment such as TVs, gaming consoles, or projectors, please contact
me directly at dbe83@outlook.com. As we approach Easter
on March 31st, let us come together to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord, Jesus
Christ. This sacred time serves as a reminder to embody His teachings of love, kindness,
and compassion towards all. We look forward to
sharing these upcoming moments with you. Your participation and support are the
cornerstone of our community's strength and vibrancy. Warmest regards, Dustan Eberhardt, SW Greetings
from the South, As the new month comes into fold, Spring will soon be here.
Which means a new season is coming, new beginnings, and Cayce 384 is excited about some
upcoming events. April 19th is our family and friends night at the lodge starting

A Short History of the 8th Masonic District Prior to 1953 the Masonic
jurisdiction of South Carolina was divided into 25 districts. At this time Oliver #133,
Lexington #152, Sinclair #154, Elmore #288 and Gaston #382 were situated in the Sixth
District along with many other lodges throughout Aiken, Fairfield, Richland, and Saluda
Counties. Batesburg-Leesville #138 was located within the Seventh district during this
time. The District Deputy Grand Masters assigned to these mentioned districts were Right
Worshipful George C. Nauful of Earlewood #371 of the Sixth District and Right Worshipful
David L. Alexander of Albert Pike #174 of the Seventh District.
For the next thirteen years
the Eight District stayed stable. But then in 1966 Most Worshipful R. Lewis Smith decided
to redistrict Pine Grove #125, Izlar #177, and Dantzler #318 to the Seventh
District. Then in only three short
years another change took place with the addition of Springdale #412 in 1969. This now
gave a total of eight (8) lodges within the Eighth Masonic District. Since that time, no
other changes have taken place in the district. PRAYER
