Chapter News

We have had our first Meeting for the year,at that Meeting we have an Affiliate and also a service called "Pilgrim's Path.

Also in February we had our usual Harmony Night with Stafford Chapter. This is done each year with the other Chapter doing the main part of the Meeting and We, the Visiting Chapter do the opening & closing. The host Chapter then renders a service to the visiting Chapter.

A barbeque was held at Bribie Island about 1 hour from Brisbane on the Sunday before we commenced our Chapter year and we had a lovely day and good fellowship.

March is our Election of Officers and also we are balloting for another Affiliate. This seems to be the only way we can get Members, but we are not conplaining. Another one of our Chapters have gone into dormancy.

Our Installation is in April on 19th April. During the year we are having two main fund raisers these are with other Chapters. The first one is a Hot Pot Luncheon and Entertainment and the other is a Fashion Parade.

This is the news from Ashgrove Chapter for now. Wishing you all a prosperous and rewarding year.

Yours in Star Friendship

Sis. M. Fleming .......Secretary
