Revolutionary Patriot. Pastor of the Greenwich, N.J. Presbyterian Church 1774. One of' the bank of patriots who took part in the "Greenwich Tea Party" November 22, 1774 and burned a ship's cargo of tea. Chaplain, First New Jersey Brigade, Continental Line, Revolutionary War. Founded The Woodbury Academy School 1791. The first regularly appointed Grand Chaplain of the Grand Lodge of New Jersey in 1802. Chaplain of The United States Navy 1810-23.
