Revolutionary Patriot. Colonel of "Arnolds Light Horse" Cavalry Troop, Washington's bodyguard while in New Jersey 1777 - 1779. Owner of "Arnold's Tavern", Morristown which was General George Washington's headquarters in 1777, and where the famous meeting of American - Union Lodge, The Festival of the Feast of Saint John was held December 27, 1779. New Jersey Assemblyman 1784 - 1785 and 1789 -1790.
