Reynier Jacob Wortendyke, Jr.
 (1895-1975)

Reynier Jacob Wortendyke, Jr. was born March 22, 1895, in Jersey City, NJ. He graduated from Princeton University in 1916 and Columbia Law School in 1922. He was the attorney for Millburn Township in New Jersey in 1930-1931and again 1933-1935 He was nominated by Dwight D. Eisenhower for the position of District Court Judge on April 18, 1955,  confirmed by the Senate on June 7, 1955, and received commission on June 8, 1955. He served the United States District Court, District of New Jersey as Judge from 1955 until 1971.  Assumed senior status on June 1, 1970 and continued to serve until his death December 26, 1975.
