The elder of three, noted, Caleb H. Valentine's. Judge of the Court of Common Pleas whose minority opinion favoring State ownership of riparian lands was upheld by the Supreme Court of the United States. New Jersey Assemblyman 1830-32 & 1835-36. New Jersey Councilman (Senator) 1840.
