The New Front Entry And Lobby
The New Front Entry - Door To Lodge Room
On August 16, 1989 Waller Lodge gained one of it's most valuable assets. Brother "Wes" Mersiovsky was initiated as an Entered Apprentice that day in Waller Masonic Lodge. He was passed to the degree of Fellowcraft on November 30, 1989 and raised as a Master Mason on January 16,1990. He became an endowed member of Waller Lodge in 2001

After working through part of the chairs, three years later, Brother "Wes" became the Worshipful Master for the Masonic year 1993 - 1994.

Then in 2005 - 2006 Brother "Wes" became the Junior Warden when another member dropped out of the lineup. Once again, "Wes" skipped a chair after the Senior Warden passed away and became the Worshipful Master for the year 2006 - 2007

The New Kitchen/Dinning Room Addition
"Wes" spent the year 2009 - 2010 serving as the Senior Steward and he (and "Liz") presented the Waller Lodge with some outstanding meals.

Beside serving as an officer when needed, Brother "Wes" also attends the study nights to teach the new Brothers their work and he works in the degrees as needed. And, he works in all of the Lodge fundraisers.

In his spare time, over the past few years, "Wes" has worked to improve the Lodge building. In March 2007, with help from his wife Liz and Brother Calvin Trapp, they tore out the old original restrooms/storage closets beside the front hall. Then "Wes" and "Liz" completely rebuilt the area to create a new entry. way and lobby at the front door. He also replaced the old storage closets by building new ones in the rear of the dining room..

The New Memorial Garden
In September of 2009 "Wes" proposed a couple of new projects. Not only the projects, but he also proposed fund raisers to finance the projects at no cost to the Lodge. The first project was for some modernizations to the Lodge kitchen. It included installing a new serving counter, some new cabinets and a couple of dishwashers. As a fund raiser he is selling knit shirts with names and Masonic information embroidered on them with prices in the $25.00 range.

The second project was creating a Memorial Garden between the front of the Lodge building and the sidewalk to beatify the Lodge building . The plantings consist of small decorative evergreen shrubs and plants. As a fund raiser we are planting plants in memory of Masons past for $20.00 each.

The New Rest Room Enteryway
Another project Brother "Wes" was working on at the same time after talking to some of the ladies was to build an entryway for the rest rooms that opened directly into the dinning room.

Replacing the front door of the Lodge building and the opening beside the door filled with glass blocks with new double doors was another project finished a couple of weeks ago with some help with a few volunteers, as the project had to be finished in one day to be able to lock the doors for the night. This project was paid for with an anonymous donation from one of our Brothers.

All of these projects have paid for themselves with some money left over and without taking any money from the Lodge operating funds

The New Front Door
Now that his special projects are finished, Brother "Wes" has decided to try to work his way through the chairs he has missed in the past. Starting this July "Wes" will be the new Senior Deacon.

I almost forgot, being self employed, Brother "Wes" also works to support his family.

I personally, and the Brothers of Waller Masonic Lodge, would like to salute Brother Wesley L. Mersiovsky for his contributions to Masonry and Waller Masonic Lodge.
