Colonel Harland Davis Sanders was born on this day in 1890. he was the founder of Kentucky Fried Chicken, Was made a Kentucky Colonel in 1935. He belonged to the following Masonic lodges; Henryville Lodge #651, Henryville, Indiana and Hugh Harris Lodge #938 in Corbin, Kentucky in which he demitted on April 13, 1976.

Audiences in California at the Fox Theatre got a surprise showing of the award winning movie “Gone With the Wind” starring Mason, Clark Gable. The movie made a full release a few months later.

William Clark Gable, Movie Actor. He was born on February 1, 1901 in Cadiz, Ohio. He attended Akron University in Akron, Ohio. He began as a worker in rubber plants and oil fields. He joined the US Army Air Corps and served as a B-17 gunner over Europe. He first won recognition as an actor in The Last Mile, and made his film debut in The Painted Desert. He has appeared in many films including Hell Divers; Strange Interlude; It Happened One Night; Mutiny on the Bounty; Strange Cargo; Gone With the Wind; The Hucksters; The Wide Missouri; Lone Star; Mogambo; Soldier of Fortune; and Idiot's Delight. He received the award (Oscar) of the Academy. of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for his role in It Happened One Night, in 1934. In WWII he was a 2nd lieutenant in the 8th Air Force, resigning with the rank of major. He was raised in Beverly Hills Lodge No. 528, Oct. 31, 1933, having received his other degrees on Sept. 19, Oct. 17 of 1931. He entered the Celestial Lodge on November 16, 1960.
