DeMolay International (also known as the Order of DeMolay), was founded this day in 1919 in Kansas City, Missouri. It is an international organization for young men ages 12 to 21. DeMolay derives its name from Jacques DeMolay, the last Grand Master of the Knights Templar. DeMolay was incorporated in the 1990s and is classified by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization holding a group exemption letter.
