** Freemasonry comes to Georgia in 1733 with James Oglethorpe **             ** Solomons Lodge No. 1 in Savannah, GA is the oldest continously operating Lodge in the Western Hemisphere (est. 1733-34)**          ** Revolutionary War Heros of Georgia - - William Stephens, GA's 1st Attorney-General; George Walton, Signer of the Declaration of Independance; Samuel Elbert, General in the GA Militia; James Jackson, General in the Continental Army - - - All Georgia Freemasons! **   The Grand Lodge of Georgia was officially incorporated by an act of the Georgia General Assembly on February 6, 1796 ** The Scottish Rite of Freemasonry was introduced into Georgia in 1792 by Brother Abraham Jacobs **
