Our next meeting will be on Friday May 11th, 2007 at 7:30PM.   Everyone come out and support our lodge.  We should be getting the essays back from the students who are applying for a scholarship, so everyone come out to take part in that.  We will also be balloting on a petition for the degrees and may be doing degree work.  We will also be discussing the golf scramble that we are trying to organize.  Exciting things are heppening in the lodge so come out and support your lodge!

We will be having a yard sale on Saturday May 5th as a fundraiser for our scholarship program.  If you have any items you would like to donate or if you can donate any canned sodas, bottled water or baked goods we would appreciate them.

Dues are now due and payable and the notices have been sent out.  Thanks to everyone who has paid their dues and for those who haven't, please go ahead and send them in while you are thinking about it.  I will be sending second notices out to those who haven't yet paid their 2007 dues.  If you can go ahead and send them it, it will cut down on the postage for the lodge.

LOOKING AHEAD:  October, 2007 will mark the 150th anniversary of Stanton Lodge being given a dispensation to form a new lodge.  We were subsequently granted or charter during the Grand Lodge session in October, 1858.  This is an important milestone for our lodge and for Freemasonry in Powell County.  Start thinking now of what we can do to celebrate this important anniversary and be sure to pass along any ideas you might have to your officers.

Directions to the Lodge:  Take Mountain Parkway to Exit 22, South on Highway 213 approximately 1.1 miles.  The lodge will be on the right side of the road and has a sign out front.
