          THE SHREVEPORT ORDER OF THE KNIGHTS OF SAINT ANDREW WAS CHARTERED BY THE KNIGHTS OF SAINT ANDREW CHAPTER OF GUTHRIE, OKLAHOMA ON SEPTEMBER 24, 2005.  ON OCTOBER 11, 2005, IN AN OPEN MEETING IN THE SHREVEPORT SCOTTISH RITE CATHEDRAL, KNIGHT COMMANDER KEITH A. DUNCAN AND KNIGHT STEWARD JAMES E. WINGATE OF THE BATON ROUGE CHAPTER OF THE KNIGHTS OF SAINT ANDREW KNIGHTED OUR FOUNDING MEMBERS, INSTALLED OUR PRINCIPLE OFFICERS AND GRANTED US OUR CHARTER.  THE FOUNDING CHARTER MEMBERS ARE: JOHN F. AYER, 32°, KNIGHT COMMANDER; E. ALLEN KELLY, 32°, KNIGHT WARDEN, CAREY C. ALLEN, 32°, KNIGHT CAPTAIN; LARRY LABORDE, 32°, KNIGHT STEWARD; THOMAS P. DICKSON, 32°; MICHAEL W. BEELER, 32°; JAMES P. ALLEN, 32°; DONALD W. GRINDSTAFF, 32°; BYRON KEITH TINDELL, 32°; SHANE E. COOK, 32°; VIRGIL F. TRENADO, 32°, AND ANDREW H. STEVENSON, SR., 32°.

 

          THE ORDER OF THE KNIGHTS OF SAINT ANDREW IS AN HONORARY SERVICE ORGANIZATION OF 32° SCOTTISH RITE MASONS DEDICATED TO THE PROMOTION OF THE PRINCIPLES AND PRACTICES OF MASONRY AND THE SCOTTISH RITE.  OUR PURPOSE IS TO SERVE AND SUPPORT OUR VALLEY.  OUR PRIMARY DUTY IS TO GREET, ESCORT, INTRODUCE AND ACCOMMODATE OUR BRETHREN AND THEIR GUESTS. 

 

MEMBERSHIP IN THE ORDER OF THE KNIGHTS OF SAINT ANDREW IS BY PETITION.  ALL 32° “BLACK HAT” MEMBERS OF THE SHREVEPORT SCOTTISH RITE IN GOOD STANDING ARE ELIGIBLE TO JOIN.  ALL HONORARY MEMBERSHIPS SHALL BE BY INVITATION ONLY.  APPLICATIONS ARE AVAILABLE FROM ANY MEMBER OF THE KNIGHTS OF SAINT ANDREW OR FROM OUR GENERAL SECRETARY.

 

OUR STATED MEETINGS WILL BE HELD AT THE SHREVEPORT SCOTTISH RITE CATHEDRAL ON THE FIRST TUESDAY OF EACH MONTH, BEGINNING AT 6:30 PM.
